Former French footballer and coach Christophe Galtier is this Monday in the practice of Paris Saint Germainwith whom he is expected to sign a contract “for just two years” earlier this week, according to sports daily L’Équipe.
The manager visited the club’s facility on Thursday morning before heading to his native Côte d’Azur to formalize his move to Paris.
The parties agreed to seal the contract once PSG management and Mauricio Pochettino agreed to leave the Argentine, which finally happened on Thursday afternoon with the payment of 10 million euros.
According to L’Équipe, Galtier was no longer in Paris when Pochettino made his departure official but is expected to be in the capital on Monday morning, when the club returns to training.
Regarding the contract, the sports newspaper is moving forward that there has been a change and that, at the request of the French coach, the option of a third year has disappeared from writing for two years and nothing more.
Galtier will be shown at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday, according to L’Équipe, although the club has not yet confirmed these dates. Before that, he will have the opportunity to meet the players, except for the international players who will join training later as they have an extra week off.
