Do you want to fight again or is this a finished story for you?
Right now I am enjoying my retirement, spending time with my family, also focused on my business. If there’s a chance to fight someone again, why not? I also have an exhibition match next December against a Korean guy.
Which boxer do you want to fight?
I still don’t know if I’ll really come back seriously, fifty percent.
When you’re at home, do you watch boxing matches on TV?
I see some fights, others like in Inoue taking place in Japan, for example with Nonito Donaire, a boxer from the Philippines. Inoue is a very good boxer.
Now everyone is talking about Canelo Álvarez. Do you want?
Canelo is a great boxer.
What is your favorite boxer right now?
My favorite boxers right now are Garcia, the young Garcia (Ryan), and Inoue, from Japan.
Who is your worst enemy in the ring, the strongest?
The strongest boxer I have ever fought was Margarito, Antonio Margarito, because he was bigger than me.
And Marquez? Because you had a big fight with him.
For Márquez, it’s not that hard because he’s as big as me. But it’s hard to fight a man bigger than you because his hands are heavier.
What is your best achievement?
My best success was in fighting Óscar de la Hoya. Did you see that fight? The golden man.
De la Hoya is so handsome … And what was his worst defeat?
The one about the fight with Márquez, the fourth fight.
