Danone announced on Tuesday a “multiannual” contract with Carlos Alcaraz.
In a statement, Danone said Carlos Alcaraz would be his “World Ambassador” And it will have a “a transverse role through group brands and categories to promote long -term food habits that emphasize a balanced diet, healthy hydration and a regular physical activity from younger age.”
While the brand’s symbol, it appears in international campaigns focusing on two of its product segments: dairy products rich in protein and hydration.
The French company indicated that it was conducting to support – to a specified UN – the Carlos Alcaraz Foundation that the mission is to “promote the importance of sport and physical and mental health in new generations”, a goal that is said to be shared.
The starting point of this cooperation is a video in which the tennis player, identified as Murcia – in reference to his region – appears as an athlete that comes from another world whose lands “ride in a common adventure with Danone dedicated to future generations.”
In the company’s statement, Carlos Alcaraz said he was proud of a partner in a company he had known since childhood: “My athlete work is based on healthy hydration and a balanced diet and I would like to convey this request to young generations.”
