The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirmed on Thursday that Italian chair umpire Francesco Totaro has been temporarily suspended, pending full consideration of match-fixing charges.
The temporary suspension is granted under section F.3 of the 2022 Tennis Anti-Corruption Program rules: “The ITIA may at any time impose a temporary suspension, including before a major notice of violation is issued.before the hearing, or any time after the hearing but before a written decision is issued. ”
Totaro is a national level referee from Italy and your temporary suspension will begin on June 22, 2022.
ITIA is an independent body established by international governing tennis bodies to promote, encourage, improve and safeguard the integrity of professional tennis around the world.
