Lingard joined Manchester United in 2000 and has been in his discipline ever since, although he has been loaned several times to Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton, Derby County and, most importantly, West Ham, where he arrived in January 2021 and where he gave. a great performance before returning to Old Trafford at the end of that season.
