The boats of the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena ‘Nemox-Bnfix’ and ‘Trebol Queen II’ will participate in the 40th Copa del Rey de Sailing, which will take place between July 30 and August 6 in Palma de Mallorca. Owned by the brothers Romero Vázquez and Juan Ramírez Santigosa, ‘Nemox-Bnfix’ attends this important event as one of the favorites in the ORC 3 class, having achieved very good results in important regattas such as the Tabarca Vela and the Trofeo SM La Reina, in which he finished third and fourth respectively.
For its part, “Trebol Queen II”, owned by Arturo García Pallarés, hopes to perform at its best during its first participation in the Copa del Rey and live the experience of participating in the most emblematic regatta held in Spain. The Cartagena club already has experience of succeeding in Palma, as ‘El Carmen-Elite Sails’, owned by José Coello Núñez, won the Copa del Rey in the ORC 2 class in 2019 and repeated it in the ORC 3 in 2021 -class.
111 teams from 18 countries will participate in the most important sailing competition of the summer from this Saturday. For the four ORC divisions, the Race Committee is counting on 11 races in windward/leeward format. Of the five divisions that will battle in real time, three will do so under the signature of the Nautor’s Swan Shipyard.
