Davide Vagnati, Torino’s sporting director, and Ivan Juric, coach, left behind one of the most embarrassing photos of the summer after a heated argument was recorded in a car park in which they almost came to blows while the club is in Austria preparing for the season.
The underlying theme is the coach’s dissatisfaction with managing the club’s transfers and his lack of ambition. Gleison Bremer was seen to leave Juventus (41 million euros) and Andrea Belotti ended his contract, two key pieces, and Torino spent only 14.5 million on Samuele Ricci, Brian Bayeye, Etrit Berisha and Pellegri.
All this is not new. Juric has already spoken to Urbano Cairo, the club’s president, about his frustration with the transfer policy and Vagnati’s role, something that angered the sporting director until he clashed with the Croatian and had to be separated by a third person.
The shouting of the two
Juric: “Leave me alone, I saved your life. Go fuck yourself”
Vagnati: When you go to the president you don’t say anything to me, you don’t respect me”
Juric: “I want you to go, get lost”
Vagnati: “I’m building the team and you have to train them, you have to do it well”
Juric: “You’re bothering me, stay away from me”
Vagnati: “I will build a strong team and you have to strengthen them”
Juric: “You do. You fool”
Vagnati: “You have no one else, don’t raise your voice at me”
Juric: “Don’t yell at me, blow yourself away”
Vagnati: “Do you understand me? Don’t raise your voice at me”
Juric: “Fuck off, asshole”
Vagnati: “You’re pissing me off. You have to respect me like I respect you. Are you listening to me idiot?”
Juric: “What respect? I have none”
Vagnati: “You have to respect me”
Juric: “I don’t want to, go to work”
Vagnati: “I always defend you in front of other idiots. And I always respect you, damn idiot”
