After battling on Sunday for his first Grand Slam in Evian Championship, Charlotte Ciganda signed a discreet card (73) on the first day of Scottish Openscoring for both the European and American circuit.
The golfer from Navarra, who rose to world number 36 after her third place in the fourth women’s ‘big’, made three birdies (4, 8, 11 holes), two bogeys (3, 16) and a double bogey on the par 3 of 16.
Ciganda, 32, will have to deliver a good card on Friday to get past the cut and try to rejoin the top of the table. He now shares 82nd place, nine strokes behind the leader, the South Korean Hye-Jin Choi (64), who had an eagle and eight birdies and only one bogey.
