Vos strengthened her lead on the Women’s Tour with her second victory

the dutch Marianne Vos (Jumbo-Visma) strengthened its leadership in Tour de France woman by winning the sprint victory in the sixth ex-stage (3:09.26) held this Friday, over 128.6 kilometers between Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and Rosheim.

In the absence of her compatriot Lorena Wiebes (DSM), who crashed with 21 kilometers to go, Vos prevailed at the finish line by beating Italian Marta Bastianelli (UAE Team ADQ) and Belgian Lotte Kopecky (SD Work) in massive arrival, to score his second stage win after the one achieved in Provins.

The victory consolidated Vos’ lead in the general classification, now with Italian Silvia Persico (Valcar) and Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon/SRAM Racing) at 30 seconds and with Italian Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) at 35.

The best Spaniard today is Mavi García (UAE Team ADQ) twenty-third in the sprint and eleventh overall in 2.40. Sandra Alonso (Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling) was 33rd in 7.22.

Tomorrow the penultimate stage will be held at 127.5 kilometers between Selestat and Le Markstein-Fellering.
