the swiss Dominique Aegerter (Yamaha), leader of the World Championship and reigning world champion of Supersport, was excluded from Race 2 for unsporting behaviour.
After the accident in Race 1 on Saturday, Dominique Aegerter was declared ineligible to compete in suspected concussionaccording to the medical team.
Aegerter was treated at the track and reviewed by the CMO at the medical center and declared ineligible due to the presence of possible concussion symptoms. On Saturday night, Aegerter went to the hospital for further tests and on Sunday in the morning he admitted malingering symptoms to the CMO and, after a thorough examination, he was declared fit to pilot.
Following an investigation by FIM stewards, they ruled that Aegerter acted in an unsporting manner by faking a medical situation to delay the recovery process and thus force a red flag stoppage.
The 31-year-old Swiss rider admitted everything in a statement sent to FIM administrators. For his unsportsmanlike behavior, he was immediately penalized by a race, which meant he was excluded from Race 2 and Most. EFE
