LaLiga 2022-23 could not have started in better spirits. The opening game of the championship was played at El Sadar and Osasuna faced Lopetegui’s Sevilla.
Before the first quarter was over, a tie to one flashed on the scoreboard, a quick start and two goals, one from each side, in the first eleven minutes.
Osasuna struck first with a great goal from home by Chimy Ávila. In the 9th minute, the Rojillo striker beat Bono with a beautiful header after a precise cross that half-goaled Rubén Peña.
El Sadar exploded, but the joy of the red parish did not last long. Two minutes later, a quick play by the sevillista forward ended in a goal from Rafa Mir, making it 1-1 in the light. After a magical assist from ‘Papu’ Gómez, Mir beat the local goalkeeper like a great ‘killer’.
