The team led by Eduardo Perales chose the Japanese as a replacement, “a well-known rider”, after his debut at the same track last year. “We send all our support and encouragement to our driver Gabri Rodrigo, who continues his plan to recover from his shoulder injury.”
Perales explained Taiga’s choice. “We have received many offers to replace Gabriel Rodrigo but we decided to give Taiga a chance because he was a wildcard with us last year and we are very happy with his professionalism and talent.”
The Japanese will be a teammate of Dutch Bo Bendsneyder.
