Jeep unveils the next phase of its product offensive: to introduce four 100% electric vehicles in North America and Europe by 2025
The Jeep brand announces a comprehensive plan for its next generation of all-electric 4xe vehicles as part of a sustainable transformation to become the world’s leading electric SUV brand.
The Jeep brand showed the first images of two all-electric SUVs, the new Jeep Recon and an all-new Wagoneer, codenamed Wagoneer S, and also confirmed that the new all-electric Jeep Avenger will be launched in Europe early next year.
In Europe, the Jeep brand has already undergone a major change by offering only electric SUVs in countries such as Germany and France. By the end of this year, 100% of the Jeep SUV portfolio will be electrified in almost all European markets.
The plan unveiled today builds on this 4xe drivetrain and develops a portfolio of capable, all-electric vehicles designed and sized for Europe. The brand will introduce four zero-emission vehicles in Europe by 2025, with offerings in key volume segments. As a result of this avalanche of products, all Jeep vehicles for sale in the region will be 100% electric by 2030.
The first model in this product offensive is the new all-electric Jeep Avenger, a compact SUV unveiled earlier this year as part of Stellaantis Dare Forward’s long-term strategic plan.
With a dedicated electric range of 400 kilometers, this new SUV offers impressive ground clearance, entry and entry angles that are class-leading in its segment, while offering a modern and technologically advanced interior with plenty of space for people and luggage.
“The new Avenger will deliver the capabilities of the Jeep brand in the right size for the European market,” said Antonella Bruno, Head of Jeep Europe at Stellantis, “This modern, fun and emotional SUV will appeal to a growing group of customers seeking are looking for a capable, compact, modern, all-electric Jeep brand alternative for current players.”
The Jeep Avenger will debut during the Paris Motor Show press day on October 17, and customer reservations will open on the same day. The new Jeep Avenger will arrive at dealerships in early 2023.
The Jeep brand continues to expand its 4xe range around the world, enhancing its legendary 4×4 capabilities through the use of electrification and technology. While the details of the current plan are focused on North America and Europe, specific plans for other regions will be announced at a later date.
“Today we are just sharing a preview of our new all-electric SUV range, providing tangible evidence of what’s coming in the next 24 months and why we say the 4xe is the new 4×4,” said Christian Meunier, CEO of Jeep Brand. .
