Tesla breaks third quarter delivery record

Date:

Tesla sold 343,830 vehicles worldwide in the third quarter of the year42.5% more than the 241,300 vehicles it delivered in the same period of 2021, the company said in a statement.

This is a historic record for the zero-emission automaker, as the previous milestone was reached in the first quarter of 2022 (310,048 vehicles). In the second of this year, the number rose to 254,695 units.

Specifically, the US company has shipped 325,158 units of the 3/Y models so far this year, 40.1% more, while selling 18,672 units of the S/X models until last September, 101% more.

On the other hand, the company founded by
Elon Musk It produced a total of 365,923 units between July and September of the current year, 53.9% more in the year-over-year comparison.

For example, 345,988 units were produced for the 3/Y models, 51.2% more, while 19,935 units were assembled for the S/X models, 123% more.

Tesla has pointed out that as production volumes increase, it is “more difficult” to secure vehicle transportation capacity at “reasonable” costs.

In the third quarter, they switched to a much more localized mode of delivery, so there will be an imbalance in the units’ accounting as there will be more vehicles in transit at the end of each quarter, they said in a statement.
