The new Suzuki V-Strom is a vehicle that meets the tastes and needs of different motorists

One of the two firsts to be presented at Eicma 2022 in Milan is a new V-Strom. Equipped with a 776 cm3 engine, it offers more capacity to move off the asphalt without compromising its excellent asphalt qualities or its everyday versatility. It has a reliable and powerful engine, reaching 83 hp at 8,500 rpm, with a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm.

Midway through the V-Strom range, between the 650 and the 1050, Suzuki has followed a set of basic principles for its development to provide it with superior value according to the requests and criteria of its potential customers. In response to the demands of riders and their different levels of experience, Suzuki engineers have developed the bike to meet the tastes and needs of different riders. And it has created an ‘adventure tourer’ with everything you would expect from a versatile trail to cover all needs in a single model.

The new V-Strom 800DE has been created through demanding development processes and the result is an ideal package for Suzuki customers, representing a huge step forward for the brand.

The V-Strom 800DE is equipped with the new 776 cm3 DOHC parallel twin engine with 4 valves per cylinder. It also includes a robust new frame, with more suspension travel and higher ground clearance than any other V-Strom. Every aspect of the design is aimed at delivering a satisfying experience for riders who want more power than the 650cc version can deliver, and who are looking for the ability to navigate off-road surfaces in comfort and confidence.

The new 800DE is poised to enrich its owners’ lives and inspire confidence wherever the driver takes it, building on the solid reputation it has demonstrated since the beginning of the V-Strom saga. Plus, it offers something different for riders looking for more power and capability than the VS-Trom 650.

Notable features include a wide tapered aluminum handlebar, sculpted aluminum swingarm, 21-inch spoke-rim front tire, upside-down front forks and multi-function TFT LCD color instrument panel. It also includes numerous branded technologies, with advanced electronic control systems such as the drive mode selector, the traction control system with G-mode (gravel), the rear ABS with off mode or the bi-directional Quick Shift system.
