Within the same space, the vehicles perform maneuvers to get up and down the road
On some roads, especially highways and highways, there is a kind of lane that combines an acceleration lane and a deceleration lane: twisted lanes. According to the DGT, these lanes have been constructed on route sections where no independent entrances and exits can be realized due to a lack of space.
Their
maximum effective length is 1,500 meters -according to the technical regulations- and vehicles coming from “two different traffic flows in the same direction” come together.
That is, within the same space, the vehicles perform maneuvers to get up and down the road. In this particular feature, the crossing of different trajectories, lies the complexity to circulate.
So if you want to insert the main road, you must behave in the same way as on any conventional speed lane, progressively and respecting the signage and the right of way of those already driving on it.
In the opposite case, if the driver intends to continue without leaving the winding lane, he has priority over those exiting the dual carriageway/motorway, although he must make exiting as easy as possible.
