At the 50th edition of the award, Hyundai Tucson and Audi Q4 e-tron took second and third place respectively
The Renault Arkana has become
in the newly crowned winner of the 2022 ABC Award for Best Car of the Year, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The Renault model thus joins a long list of successful models that curiously enough also started in 1972 with the Renault 5, winner of the first edition.
The Arkana is imposed on a list of twelve candidates.The final result is the sum of the votes awarded by the professional jury, consisting of 36 journalists specializing in motorcycle information, with a weight of 70%, ABC’s ‘premium’ subscribers and readers, whose votes have had a weight of 25% of the total, and ABC readers, weighing 5% of the total.
After counting, the
renault arcana obtained 16.52% of the vote, followed in second place by
Hyundai Tucson (13.22%), and for the
Audi Q4 etron, with 11.87% of the vote. A total of 12 candidates were eligible for the prize this edition.

With the new Arkana, Renault presents a new generation SUV in coupé style, equipped with
a strong hybrid personality, both in style and in engines. It is available with a 1.3 TCe engine with micro-hybrid technology and an additional 12V battery in a 140 hp version, and with a 145 hp hybrid E-Tech engine.
Inside it stands out

The ABC Award for Best Car of the Year
