Renault Kangoo E-Tech: now also 100% electric

Date:

Twenty-five years after its launch in the small commercial segment for recreational use, the Renault Kangoo with its E-Tech version is going 100% electric. It mounts a 120 hp motor and a 45 kWh battery. This 5-seater model offers
an electric range of 285 km, or 430 km in the city. The price is from 39,204 euros.

The brand has indicated that the batteries have a warranty of eight years or 160,000 kilometers, an interval during which the company will replace them free of charge.
if your capacity drops below 70% of his ability.

Similarly, if the battery is connected to an 11-kilowatt charging point, it can go from 15% to 80% in two hours and forty minutes, while if connected to a 7.4-kilowatt charging point, the same process takes about six hours . o’clock.

The driver can
choose from three regenerative braking modes: Sailing (B1): limited regenerative mode, adapted to driving on highways and highways. Drive (B2): Default regenerative mode for versatile use, with a sense of deceleration similar to that of a thermal engine vehicle. Y Brake (B3): maximum regenerative mode, for use in traffic jams and on mountain roads.

The different combinations of ‘driving modes / braking modes’ thus offer the driver
the possibility to choose between 6 types of driving different to optimize comfort and autonomy depending on use and traffic conditions.

To charge the battery, the 100% electric Renault Kangoo E-Tech has two types of chargers, at the choice of the customer: An 11 kW three-phase AC charger, adapted to all types of domestic charging. A 22 kW AC fast charger with which you can go from 5% to 80% in 2.5 hours and an 80 kW DC charger with which you can recover 170 km in about 30 minutes.

Connected to an 11 kW terminal, the 15% charge of the new Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric battery will be completed to 80% in 2 hours and 40 minutes,
in a 7.4 kW Wallbox It charges from 15% to 100% in less than 6 hours.

In combination with the 22 kW charger, the battery has a liquid cooling system and an electrical resistance that allows it to be used in the correct temperature range to optimize autonomy and reduce charging time.

By means of
the smartphone application MyRenault or the Renault Easy Link multimedia system, the New 100% electric Kangoo E-Tech has specific connected services such as battery charge programming and remote charge status monitoring; the programming of the thermal preconditioning of the passenger compartment; searching for charging points on the planned route and calculating accessible destinations with the remaining battery life.

On the other hand, the Kangoo E-Tech
It has a trunk of 950 litersalthough it can be expanded to 2,500 liters because the rear seat can be moved up to 14 centimeters.

As for the prices, the basic version starts at 39,204 euros, while the top version costs 43,076 euros.
