CUPRA continues to break new ground by electrifying its range. Currently, the brand is redefining the charging process of its challenging and unconventional model with 100% electric technology, the CUPRA Born.
For example, the convenience of charging is increased with ‘Plug & Charge’. This technology provides an easier and smoother way to power the CUPRA Born battery and is supported by companies such as Ionity and Aral/bp. Likewise, other companies have expressed interest in joining the platform as well.
With ‘Plug & Charge’, the electric vehicle is easily identified at the charging station with an encrypted standard and the charging process starts automatically. The user no longer needs a mobile phone or RFID card to perform the action. This feature will be available mid-year.
At the same time, the Volkswagen Group is expanding its European charging network. Today, CUPRA Born drivers can already use more than 310,000 charging points, including 10,000 fast chargers (with a capacity of more than 100 kW), spread over more than 3,000 stations.
