This model equivalent to 125 with a range of 140 kilometers, is able to reach 100 kilometers per hour
The Spanish sustainable mobility company, Wellta Motors, continues its journey by offering a new model that can adapt to the requests of the growing demand. This is Boreal, an urban electric maxi scooter that takes on the proportions and comfort of a GT-type scooter. Proof of this is the large front, which will better protect the pilot, or the seat that is divided into two heights, which gives a better view and more comfort for the passenger.
The measurements support this segment jump. At 1,900 millimeters long, 650 millimeters wide and 1,050 millimeters high, and with a wheelbase of 1,420 millimeters, it is clearly a more spacious scooter than most electric scooters on sale today.
Boreal is able to integrate two removable batteries with cells manufactured by ATL of 60 V and 45 Ah, resulting in a total capacity of 5.4 kWh. As for the charging times, it goes from 0 to 80% in 3 hours and reaches 100% in 4 hours. It offers a dual charging system, allowing it to be done from home, such as using a cell phone, removing the battery, or plugging the motorcycle directly into a public charging point or household outlet.
This model has a hub-type motor integrated in the rear wheel and is manufactured by the specialist QS. The nominal power is 5.4 hp, but the peak power, which prevails in practice, rises to 7.6 hp. The autonomy is directly related to the selected driving mode, and thus to the maximum speed, limited by each of the driving modes. In mode 1 (50 km/h) it can reach 140 km of autonomy, in mode 2 (70 km/h) a total of 125 km and in mode 3 (100 km/h) it can cover 115 km.
Its price of 4,850 euros with battery, and 5,990 euros if two batteries are included, is a major attraction. However, this will be reduced to 3,750 and 4,890 respectively thanks to state aid of 1,100 euros from the Moves III Plan.
In terms of equipment, it includes ‘keyless’ which allows keyless starting and remote control of the alarm, USB charger, dashboard with LCD color display, full lighting with LED technology and capacity for a low jet helmet on the saddle.
