SEAT Tarraco e-HYBRID: dynamism, safety and efficiency

The plug-in hybrid version of the SEAT Tarraco is available in the 5-seater variant with specific standard equipment that enhances the dynamic behavior of the most powerful Tarraco in the range. The e-HYBRID version of this model offers a combined power output of 245 hp as it combines a 1.4 liter TSI 150 hp petrol engine with a 115 hp electric motor, a set of 13 kWh lithium-ion batteries and a six-speed DSG transmission. The CO2 emissions are between 41 and 47 g/km, while it consumes only between 1.6 and 2.1 liters of fuel for the first 100 km.

The Tarraco e-HYBRID makes it possible to drive in all-electric mode, with a range of up to 49 km. When it comes to covering longer distances, it offers the possibility to use both the electric motor and the petrol engine, to be able to drive up to 730 km without having to refuel. As long as the battery is sufficiently charged, it will start in all-electric mode. But the system activates hybridization if the battery’s energy capacity drops below a certain level or if the speed exceeds 140 km/h.

In addition, with the different driving modes available, the driver has the option of controlling the battery charge level, increasing it thanks to the regenerative hybrid mode, or using the e-Mode function to move the vehicle more efficiently according to his needs.

As for the equipment of the new SEAT Tarraco e-HYBRID, it is worth noting, among other elements included as standard, the navigation system with a new, larger infotainment screen of 23.4 cm or the Adaptive Chassis control that automatically regulates the firmness of the shock absorbers or manually at the driver’s request.

The SEAT Tarraco e-HYBRID is a fully connected model, both inside and outside the car. An excellent example of the connectivity offered remotely is the operation of the hybrid system that allows users to access their vehicle data, service and remote access via the SEAT Connect application, including the exclusive features that stand out. -in hybrid models: remotely manage the charging process and control the air conditioning.

In addition to this engine, the Tarraco is available with 150 hp 1.5 TSI petrol engines with manual and automatic gearbox, the 190 hp 2.0 TSI engine, coupled with the seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and 4Drive four-wheel drive and, finally, the 2.0 TSI 245 hp DSG. 7 4Drive motor

As for the diesel offer, it has the 2.0 TDI 150 hp engine with manual or automatic gearbox and the 2.0 TDI 200 hp DSG with 4Drive.

The SEAT Tarraco offers an extensive equipment list, which emphasizes a user experience that is fully connected to online services and functions, both inside and outside the vehicle via the SEAT Connect application.

In terms of safety equipment, the Tarraco includes a wide range of devices that use all the data collected by the sensors to anticipate events. It also has a multitude of optional systems, such as emergency assistance, blind spot detection and rear traffic warning, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assistant and automatic low/high beam assistant. City Brake Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, involuntary lane assist or the automatic emergency call system are also part of the advanced technology that has led the Seat Tarraco to achieve five stars, the highest rating, in the Euro NCAP safety tests.

Finally, the SEAT Tarraco is available with two innovations: the ‘Pre-Crash’ pre-collision assistant and the ‘Rollover Assist’ detection assistant, which activate different systems to limit damage. The first reacts after detecting that an accident is imminent, tightening the seat belts, activating the hazard warning flashers, rolling up the windows and closing the sunroof, helping to protect the cabin occupants. The ‘Rollover Assist’ for its part is activated when it detects a possible rollover situation and activates the airbags and pretensioners, initiates an emergency call, switches off the engine, regulates ventilation, activates the hazard warning lights and unlocks the doors.
