With these principles in mind, this tire is made with a double compound for both axles. On the rear wheel, the central part is made of a compound that is highly resistant to rolling, and silica is used on the two flanks, which quickly reaches a suitable temperature even when the road is wet. On the front tire he uses the same compounds, but here 50/50 so in equal parts. The structure is quite hard and can reach a significant slope of 51 degrees. The profile is sporty to the eye and the drawing is designed to disperse water to the maximum, although the maximum tread angle is smooth to provide superior grip on steep climbs.

Now without the layer of preservative oils, the new tire was perfectly adapted to the BMW, making this motorcycle a much more agile two-wheeled vehicle than before, allowing for superior and safe inclination, both in traction and braking, and great stability in all directions transfer time. We started the test with dry asphalt and later the rain came out and at that moment this Metzeler confirmed to us that it was a wise choice.

The driving pleasure that these last generation Metzelers bring us on an “old” motorcycle is difficult to convey. The solid structure of this tire provides a quick and predictable response to our driving needs, delivering top quality dynamic performance without regard to the stiffness of this tire. This makes driving very relaxed and stress-free in almost any situation. The central and lateral grooves are designed to remove the maximum amount of water present in the asphalt on an average slope. The stability it transmits is excellent as we increase speed and the weather gets worse. The truth is that the development of this dual composition tire is a success and it has great consistency in all areas. And another thing we love, besides safety, is how easy it is to warm up quickly both on dry and wet asphalt and all this, according to the brand, with significant wear resistance to achieve great durability. and a greater number of kilometers to travel.

On the highway, in a straight line and with long and pronounced bends, the ease and safety it offers is really surprising, or the previous ones were certainly not adequate or too outdated. But where we had a good time and gave us a demonstration of power was in curved areas. Here he demonstrated that the side profiles without drawing are very effective and offer inclinations that were not possible before and now the motorcycle is asking for it. Coupling corners is now very easy, the ease and agility of changing direction with full control of the bike is the order of the day and makes us not want to go home.
