Teens aged 16 and 17 have a car for only 150 euros per month

Date:

With the new B1 permit, young people from high-income households (2 in 10) or working people will be the first to choose vehicles called L7e, mostly electric and with many features of a conventional vehicle

The entry into force of the new B1 license in Spain will be the go-ahead for vehicles called L7e, mostly electric heavy four-wheelers, which can be driven by 16 and 17-year-olds. These vehicles offer benefits comparable to conventional ones and their price can be around 15,000 euros, so according to Sumauto these teenagers can buy a car just by renting for only
150 euros per monthand without more than 180,
no entrance feenaturally.

In fact, and with a reference price of 15,110 euros (10,900 with launch discounts, financing and help from the MOVES plan), the XEV YOYO is now available in Spain, along with other models already known, such as the Renault Twizy, in addition to the opening the door to the arrival of new models such as the Microclino, Invicta D2S or the Silence 04.

In our country, high-income households (2 in 10) will be the first to reach this type of vehicle, as parents will be able to cover the rental of these vehicles and thus add a second or third motorization to the family, for what will also be important to be
provision of parking spaces and charging points

Likewise, it should be borne in mind that the vehicles with the name L7e have a maximum weight of up to 400 kg, not counting the battery, they must not exceed 15 kW (20 hp) of power or 90 km/h at maximum speed, which therefore makes it possible to drive on highways, highways or conventional roads.

They are also vehicles with fewer components because they are electric and by not taking long journeys and sticking to the urban space or residential area,
maintenance is minimal, a positive characteristic. In fact, it’s likely that in a lease they won’t even include tire changes simply because there won’t be time to show enough wear for replacement. And even if it were a purchase, it wouldn’t go through the workshop as much.

Sumauto estimates that these vehicles
will serve as a transition not only towards the B2 driving license, which allows driving cars weighing up to 3,500 kg, without power limit and up to 120 km/h legal maximum speed, but
also
to electric mobility, as the zero mileage of these novice drivers will be with the electric, not a petrol or diesel.
