The agency has reported that it will permanently stop issuing paper notifications on November 1, 2022, the date by which companies must register with the Road Electronic Address (DEV)
The General Directorate for Traffic (DGT) has announced that it will definitively stop providing paper notifications to all legal entities, i.e. companies, as of November 1, 2022. From that date they are therefore obliged to register in the Electronic Road Address (DEV). The person who is not registered in the said month will register him officially and will also inform him in this way.
This measure does not affect individuals as they do not have to have an email, so this is not the only way to report a fine. But many undoubtedly do not know the procedure for downloading this reporting channel, but it is essential to be properly registered and manage the downloading of sanctions, especially for these legal entities; because, if not done, serious economic problems can arise with the fines.
So, from Pyramid Consulting they tell that since a notification is published through this new channel, they have a
maximum 10 calendar days to download it. And pay attention here! If it is not downloaded within the time limit, it will expire. If it expires, it cannot be downloaded and is considered successfully received. When considered received, the deadlines to reply (10/20 days) begin to count.
At this point, if you do not reply within the deadline, a non-compliance/penalty will be generated. And the
penalties can be up to three times of the amount of the first communication and will be seized by the Treasury.
Therefore, and to avoid headaches, it is best for companies to register with a few simple steps, give a
email and a mobile phone, and when we have a traffic report, we are notified this way. Of course they are just warnings for:
inform that there is a notification in the DEV mailbox, where the notification is available.
