Industry turnover in the Basque Country grew by 45.3% in June compared to the same month of the previous year, representing biggest increase of this 2022.
According to data provided this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), this rise places the Basque Country as the third autonomous community with the highest annual growth of industrial turnover.
In the period from January to June, the Basque industry achieved a turnover increase of 30.3% compared to the same period in 2021.
In January, the industry of the Basque Country achieved a turnover increase of 29.5% compared to the same month of 2021, in February the increase was 21.3%, in March 14.6% and in April it rose to 28.5%, while in May it rose to 41.3% and in June growth was 45.3%.
In Spainindustrial sales in June increased by 31.7% compared to the same month in 2021 and this year the increase so far is 24%.
Breaking down the data by Autonomous Communities, June sales increased across all Autonomous Communities. The largest annual increases were recorded in Murcia (61.7%), Comunitat Valenciana (45.5%) and Euskadi (45.3%). Minors in the Canary Islands (15.5%), La Rioja (17.4%) and Castilla y León (20%).
