Several employees reported cases of sexual harassment at the hospital in Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia. The board has taken action.
The Spittal hospital is rocked by an affair, which now leads to a police investigation and legal consequences. Last Friday, an employee was fired without notice after several female hospital workers made serious allegations against the man.
Michael Slamanig is the spokesman for Spittal Hospital: “I can confirm the release, but there are no further details due to the ongoing police investigation.” Of course, the rumor mill in Spittal continues to boil.
The fired person has been taken in by the police for questioning
It was a man who was active in local politics and there had been multiple instances of sexual harassment. The women involved, all employees of the hospital, had therefore reported it.
It can be considered confirmed that the man who was discharged without notice, subject to the presumption of innocence, was taken into hospital by the police for questioning – which also caused a corresponding commotion.
The police forces are of course inconspicuous and also refer to the ongoing investigations and witness hearings.
