The chase of a fugitive driver (36) in the Tyrolean Oberland and even in neighboring South Tyrol created incredible scenes: a 36-year-old kept police busy for hours after a car was stolen. Quitting attempts resulted in breakneck and sometimes life-threatening moments.
The woman first stole a car on Imsterberg on Wednesday and then refueled without paying in Nassereith and Samnaun. At Mals (South Tyrol), a red traffic light initially stopped the vehicle on Thursday, but the driver continued to race. Far too fast and always with dangerous situations. One officer suffered minor injuries when he jumped to the side. Back in Tyrol, the police created an artificial traffic jam, but again the 36-year-old fled despite urgent signals from the police. Another police officer was slightly injured.
around obstacles
At Nauders, the officials then placed an obstacle (stop stick), but the driver bent around it. Meanwhile, police officers had stopped a semi-trailer driver on the other side of the road, but the driver drove up the embankment and back onto Reschenstraße.
Immediately after, however, she collided with an ambulance, which was also tilted, and the incredible escape ended. The woman got out of the car and was arrested. She was taken to Hall Psychiatry because of her condition.
