A fight between two kangaroos has come to an abrupt end in a wildlife sanctuary in Canberra, Australia. During his afternoon walk, resident Julian Doak recorded how the two animals struggled on his cell phone. Seconds later, one of the animals crashed into a metal fence and tore a hole in it. Aside from a wounded ego, the accident left no damage to the kangaroo.
Julian Doak was in the Mount Taylor Nature Reserve a few days ago when he encountered the fighting kangaroos. He captured their epic wrestling match with his camera (see below). “The two kangaroos were fighting for me and I thought it would be nice to shoot a video for my family abroad to show them a little bit of Australian life,” Doak told Storyful.
“I had no idea it would escalate quickly if someone was pushed through a fence,” he said. The other kangaroo then stood dead still and looked after his fellow kangaroo – perhaps regretting his roughness.
Just bruised ego
Doak added that the fallen kangaroo was last seen on the road. This suggests it survived the ordeal relatively unscathed, save perhaps for a bruised ego.
