Rescue operation after a canyoning accident: About 20 mountain rescuers rescued an Upper Austrian from the Strubklamm in Faistenau in Flachgau on Saturday. The 30-year-old suffered a serious knee injury at the start of the tour after the first big jump into the water.
At around 12:30 p.m., the canyoning group north of the mountain rescue service and the Salzburg local office were alerted. The victim received first aid and was pulled from the canyon on a rope about 100 meters using a team lift in a vacuum mattress in a universal stretcher and then handed over to Red Cross helpers.

They took him by ambulance to the accident hospital in Salzburg. The seven canyoning rescuers and twelve mountain rescuers from the local Salzburg office took part in the operation, which ended at 4 p.m.
