After countless women in Scandinavia and around the world showed their solidarity with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and posted party videos on social media, the criticized Prime Minister has now also received support from former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The former presidential candidate tweeted a photo of her dancing in Colombia on Sunday. “This is me in Cartagena, where I was for a meeting as secretary of state,” Clinton noted in the photo taken in April 2012. “Keep dancing @marinsanna,” she added to the Prime Minister of Finland.
Marin: ‘Don’t miss a single working day’
Marin was criticized after a video leaked showing her dancing and partying with friends. Marin then defended her right to privacy, insisting that she “didn’t miss a single working day”.
The 36-year-old Social Democrat is the youngest Prime Minister in Finland’s history and has repeatedly made headlines in recent years with photos of concerts and other events she attended as a private individual. When she took office in 2019, she was the youngest head of government in the world at the age of 34. By the way, Marin thanked Clinton with a reply tweet for the support from the US.
