Ironically, on Tuesday on the way to an operation, a police car collided with a car at an intersection in the Tyrolean capital, with the result: two police officers and the driver of the other vehicle were injured. The director’s car also “cut down” a traffic light box, a parking ticket machine and a lamppost.
The accident happened around 5:50 p.m. Due to an operation, the police car with the blue lights on in the Pembauerstrasse in Innsbruck was driving north. At the same time, a local (29) drove his car west on Egerdachstrasse. At the intersection with Pembauerstrasse, the 29-year-old wanted to turn left. The front of the vehicle was already in the lane when the driver spotted the police patrol. He immediately put in an emergency stop.
Crash claimed three injuries
“The driver of the police car tried to dodge but hit the front of the 29-year-old’s vehicle,” the press service said. The officers then collided with a traffic light, a parking meter and a lamppost. Two police officers suffered minor injuries in the accident and were taken to hospital. The 29-year-old also went to the clinic some time later because of neck pain.
Both cars were damaged in the accident.
