Police officers were alerted Thursday evening to a private party and noise pollution at an apartment in Vienna-Brigittenau. The situation escalated when officials asked the tenant to end the party.
Since the approximately 40 guests present refused to be quieter, the apartment tenant had to end the celebration. When all the guests left the apartment, a party guest drew attention to himself. According to the police, the 18-year-old made mocking gestures towards emergency services as he passed. They then asked him to identify himself.
To prevent this and to escape, he tried to punch an officer in the face with the palm of his hand and ran down the stairs.
Friend tried to avoid arrest
The officers were able to prevent the 18-year-old from escaping and then arrested him. Meanwhile, he insulted the officers. Suddenly, a friend of the suspect (18) tried to grab a police officer by the shoulder during the arrest to prevent the official act. He was also temporarily arrested.
During a search, cannabis was also found in one of the two. Both had a blood alcohol level of around one per mille. The suspects face multiple charges.
