There was a serious traffic accident between several vehicles in Vienna-Donaustadt on Sunday evening. Particularly tragic: a 15-year-old moped driver was hit by two vehicles and seriously injured.
At around 9:35 p.m., a 24-year-old motorist drove into town on Eßlinger Hauptstrasse and apparently wanted to go straight across the intersection at Fatty-George-Gasse. At the same time, the 15-year-old also drove out of town on his moped on Eßlinger Hauptstraße and, according to the police, wanted to turn left at the same intersection despite the ban. There was a violent collision between the two, in which the 15-year-old fell and was seriously injured.
Two seriously injured in hospital
Behind the 15-year-old driver was a 62-year-old motorcyclist who was unable to brake in time and also overtook the 15-year-old. The 62-year-old suffered minor injuries in the fall. However, his passenger (59) is heavy.
The 15-year-old, 62-year-old and 59-year-old received emergency medical assistance from the Vienna professional rescue team and were taken to hospital. The 24-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
