A woman from Tyrol reports desperately to the “Krone”: The neighbor below her gets his balcony dirty and does nothing about the pigeons. She gets a rash out of sheer anger.
“There, there, there and there.” The retiree quickly wipes her cell phone to show the pictures of her rash: red spots on her neck, back, face, cleavage. stress neurodermatitis. The reason: the balcony below her balcony. There a net is stretched – to protect against pigeons. It doesn’t seem to help much though: not only is the net full of dirt, but the balcony doesn’t look much better either. The net doesn’t seem to stop the pigeons from nesting on the deserted balcony either. That the O village in Innsbruck has a pigeon problem is known – the “Krone” reported several times. Now the “crown” for a local inspection belongs to a woman who is so disgusted by the pigeon-dirty balcony below her that she supposedly gets a rash from it.
“What does that look like? You’re ashamed of that!”
The woman has lived in IIG’s apartment since 1983. She has been annoyed by the dirty net below her for a long time. It was heavily polluted and some feathers got stuck. A cream could help with her neurodermatitis, but the anger remained. The pensioner likes to be clean and tidy, there is not a speck of dust in her apartment. “I vacuum twice a day, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but the way they have it down there, you can’t. What does that look like? You’re ashamed of that!” You notice the lady watching her neighbors: “I always pay attention to how people behave.”
“I don’t want to harm the pigeon chicks”
One floor below, a man from the “Krone” opens the door. Confronted with the question of why the balcony is not cleaned, he is happy to invite you into the apartment and show you the balcony. Now the full extent of the pigeon dirt becomes clear. It’s really hard to find a clean square inch. “The balcony is unusable”, explains the tenant, “we would like to use it, but you can see what it looks like. There are currently pigeon chicks on the balcony, we don’t have the heart to ‘get rid of them’ But as soon as they go out, we’ll clean up.” The lower tenant and his neighbor agree on one thing: they must finally stop feeding the pigeons, because the pigeon situation in O-Dorf in Innsbruck is untenable.
Cleaning action has apparently started
Eventually something does happen, reports the pensioner on the phone a few days later. After a visit to the “Krone” they apparently found a new motivation: “Monday in any case, cleaning will be done and it has just finally gone.”
