Saturday evening after a traffic accident with driving on in Graz-St. Peter against a resistance to state authority. Agents of the Cobra task force have arrested a 48-year-old.
At around 6:30 PM, the Graz-Riesplatz Police Station was notified of a hit-and-run traffic accident. In the accident with material damage, the fleeing driver lost a license plate, so that a 48-year-old could be identified as the driver of the accident. Police officers went to the man’s registration address, but could only find his mother.
Threatened the police with a gun
The patrol therefore contacted the 48-year-old by telephone. The man threatened to shoot police officers with a pistol if they found him. The man was already forbidden to carry weapons. Through intensive investigation, officials were finally able to locate the 48-year-old’s parked car.
External security increased
Due to the dangerous threat, several patrols surrounded the building where the car was parked. The Rapid Reaction Forces (SRK) and police dogs were also deployed. The Einsatzkommando Cobra (EKO) was also applied for. EKO Cobra agents opened and searched the building. The 48-year-old was subsequently found and arrested without resistance.
The 48-year-old is reported to the public prosecutor in Graz.
