Terrible accident on Thursday afternoon in Niederkappel in the upper Mühlviertel. A 44-year-old farmer from Putzleinsdorf lost life in an accident with his tractor. Woman (45) and father (76) found the dead. The mayor is also shocked. He knew the deceased well, says: “He worked seven days a week before his company, really tolerated a lot.”
“What’s going on with Klaus?” When the woman (45) and father (76) could not reach him by telephone in the afternoon, they drove together to Niederkappel and found the destroyed tractor. The father immediately informed the emergency services. All help, however, came too late for the son Klaus P. (44) caught in the cabin. Due to the situation on site, it can be assumed that the fully charged manure with three consequences – the total loading capacity 14,000 liters – pushed the tractor so that it destroyed, the police said.
At 13:16, three fire brigades were called to Niederkappel with the application description “Person under vehicle – machine”.
The 44-year-old farmer was stuck under the heavy vehicle. The alarmed emergency services could only determine the death of the man on the spot. The crisis intervention team takes care of the shocked family members and eyewitnesses.
Mayor also mourns the loss
“I knew him well, was often with him in the courtyard,” says Mayor of Putzleinsdorf Bernhard Fenk: “He was a full -time maker, rebuilt the stable a few years ago and put all agriculture on new feet. He was really on a full throttle on the matter, did seven days a week.” Klaus P. had two sons, the local chef said: “He was also a hunting director in Lembach and had two dogs. It is really a completely tragic story.”
It was not until Tuesday that there was a tragic agricultural accident in Lengau in the Innviertel. As reported, a 64-year-old had found his brother (58) dead. This was trapped between the winch and tractor.
In Waldneukirchen, a farmer also threatened to fall into a slurry well on Thursday, his wife saved him.
