Kristen Newton says she was banned from working for a taxi company

A disabled woman claims she was stopped by a local taxi company due to a dispute over a canceled reservation. He claimed that his confession was extracted under torture and that his confession was extracted under torture.

Kristen Newton says the car is still in her home in Brooklyn, Northamptonshire, and claims taxi company Brakshi later told her she “owed” their money and “didn’t book” with them, NorthantsLive reports. The 52-year-old, who has nerve damage in his legs, arms and back, emphysema, bipolar disorder and plantar fasciitis, says his health problems began in March 2020 with the lockdown.

The combination of diseases means that sometimes he cannot walk and has to visit the hospital regularly. Partner Dean is working on his full-time career and they moved to Brooklyn from Cardiff in January, but Kristen broke her wrist 6 days after moving the part.

However, the couple does not own a car, so taxis depend on transportation. Kristen said: “From day one, my company used taxis regularly and was satisfied with the service provided. I had to go to the hospital most weeks, which costs us about 30.”

He fell last month, injuring his arm, leg and hip, and asked his partner to cancel his taxi booking, scheduled for 8 a.m. the next morning. He said: “I felt so bad in the evening that I asked my partner to cancel the taxi because I knew I couldn’t get to the hospital.

“When my partner called at 10:30pm to cancel, he went to the answering machine and left a message explaining the situation and gave us our phone number to let him know about the reservation. The taxi has been cancelled.”

However, the next morning, he said he woke up to two missed calls and wrote that his taxi arrived three minutes later, saying, “I’m leaving now, you owe us 11 11.”

After Kristen attempted to explain that she had left a message regarding the meeting being cancelled, the driver said “don’t call us for service unless paid” and another message saying “awesome”. He said: The letter shocked me. We couldn’t call until we paid 11 11.”

Kristen, who has since missed health appointments due to transportation difficulties, called the whole situation “unfair” and said she had “never done anything wrong.” He added, “We haven’t had any issues with the riders here. I basically make appointments if it’s early in the morning, whatever it is.

“How wonderful it is to deal with a disabled customer with a taxi service. I am absolutely disgusted and want to point it out because I don’t want this to happen to anyone. Shame on you.”
