An unknown perpetrator brutally beat up a taxi driver from Salzburg on Friday evening. He actually wanted to steal money from the man, but when he didn’t give him money, the situation escalated.
Shortly before midnight, a man was sitting in his cab at a taxi rank in Maxglan when a stranger opened the driver’s door and demanded cash. The taxi driver did not give the perpetrator any money – then the stranger pulled him out of the car, missing him several punches in the face. Then he fled.
Wounded on the side of the road
The taxi driver was injured on the side of the road. However, a motorist found him a short time later and immediately called the rescue service. The manhunt has been negative so far, but the investigation continues.
