102-year-old Indian protested to authorities

Date:

A 102-year-old man in India has staged a sensational protest after he was pronounced dead. With this he wanted to prove to the authorities that he was still alive and thus receive his pension, which had been stopped in March.

According to Indian media, the man drove a wedding carriage, a marching band and supporters to employees and government officials on Thursday. There he submitted a letter with his pension application.

The senior told reporters he has not received any pension payments since his officially recorded death in March. Since then, he has tried unsuccessfully to prove to the authorities that he is still alive. To prove his identity, the Indian man also presented his identity card, tax number and bank documents. His grandson has already filed a complaint in Haryana state, but has not yet received a response from the local authorities.

Not an isolated case
In India, in the past, people were also pronounced dead while they were still alive. Sometimes there are relatives behind it, targeting the land of the dead.
