The police in Freistadt (Upper Austria) discovered an unusual theft. A 44-year-old from Pierbach allegedly stole 200 pumpkins from a self-service booth.
The thief is said to have struck a total of ten times since the beginning of August and stole 200 pumpkins of various sizes. The pumpkins were in Freistadt at a self-service stand run by a 38-year-old from Niederneukirchen.
A witness saw the 44-year-old steal and reported this to the stall owner, who then called the police. During questioning, the 44-year-old confessed to nine other crimes. As justification, she stated that she needed feed for pigs from a farmer.
