Wörthersee-Autobahn – 300,000 euros luxury Porsche demolished

After an overtaking maneuver on the Wörthersee Autobahn near Pörtschach on Saturday afternoon, a Ween wanted to put his Porsche 911 Turbo S back in the first lane. But due to the heavy rain and aquaplaning, the 51-year-old slipped in the luxury sports car and crashed into the guardrail.

As a result of the impact, the Porsche, which cost more than 300,000 euros, was thrown back over the driveway and came to a stop in the direction of travel, severely damaged.

Passenger recovered from wreckage
The driver of the accident was lucky and was able to free himself from the badly damaged vehicle, according to the police. His passenger, a 58-year-old Swiss, had to be rescued from the wreckage by rescuers. After receiving medical care, he was taken to the Klagenfurt regional hospital by the rescue team.

The car of a next 37-year-old driver from Villach, who was unable to avoid the debris in time, was also damaged by flying car parts.

The fire brigades of Krumpendorf, Pörtschach, Töschling and Techelsberg were deployed. The road to Italy was closed due to the accident registration and the clean-up work.
