This has been Ukraine’s lightning offensive

Date:

The Kiev troops surprised the Russians and managed to recover almost 3,000 square kilometers in just four days.

Ukraine has managed to surprise the world with a counter-offensive that has driven Russia out of some of the eastern areas of the country it had occupied in the early days of the invasion. According to all experts, one of the keys to this lightning attack was the ability to deceive Russian intelligence into believing that it intended to fight in the south, when in reality it was gathering troops and equipment in Kharkov, from which they brought forward the Kiev soldiers. In this advance, which began on September 9, Ukraine has managed to reclaim about 3,000 square kilometers of land.

On the one hand, some details that the Ukrainian initiative has revealed are its ability to attack key points thanks to precision weapons and detailed information about the enemy’s plans. On the other hand, Russia has shown that it is incapable of tackling the counter-offensive. His air superiority has not served him at all and at times even his artillery has been silenced by unknown factors.

Currently, Moscow’s troops are continuing their withdrawal, in many cases disorderly, as Kiev works to clear the pockets in which the Russian military has been cornered. According to spokesmen for the Zelensky government, in some cases Russian soldiers have begun massive negotiations about their surrender.
