A dispute between a couple from Austria has escalated on the Greek island of Crete. The woman suffered serious injuries.
Loud screams from a house in the port city of Rethymno recently alerted residents – who immediately notified the Greek police. When the officers arrived on the scene, they were presented with a shocking image: a 40-year-old Austrian woman had suffered severe burns all over her body.

While the victim was being treated in a hospital, the 44-year-old suspect’s handcuffs initially clicked.
