As a result, two people felt hurt in their religious feelings and sued the singer. The courts agreed and convicted the woman of blasphemy, a type of blasphemy.
“Disproportionately Hard”
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg saw this differently and stated in its verdict on Thursday that the punishment was disproportionately severe. While the statements were drastic, they did not incite hatred or violence. The singer answered questions about her life only in a frivolous way. The state must now pay the woman 10,000 euros in damages.
