The image of discretion and diplomacy displayed by the British monarchy in recent decades has been shattered by several episodes featuring the new king of England, Charles III. After the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his subsequent accession to the throne, the new monarch has been in the media spotlight for a few moments, where revealed his character.

Due to the pressure of the historic moment or due to an angry personality, the king has given signs of irritation from small details of the protocol during the celebration of public acts.

ink problems

At the ceremony on September 10, where he was officially proclaimed sovereign, under the watchful eye of several former British Prime Ministers and the leadership of the state, Elizabeth II’s eldest son lost his temper with an ill-placed object. There was an inkwell that prevented him from drawing comfortable, and everyone witnessed his impatient gesture to an assistant to move him quickly.

Social networks did not last long what happened, between sarcasm and criticism.

“I hate this!”

Three days later, the 73-year-old monarch signed the visitors’ book at Hillsborough Castle, the official seat of the government of Northern Ireland, when he stained his hand with ink. ‘By God, I hate this pen,’ snapped Carlos III, after staining himself.

The frost rose from the table and visibly angrycontinued to express his frustration: “I can’t stand this damn thing! (…) They do it every time!” he complained, wiping with a tissue.

Carlos III’s anger had started a few seconds earlier, when he realized that… I had signed with the wrong date. Annoyed, the monarch left the room without waiting for Camila, queen consort, who had not yet signed the document.

“Day off”

The latest controversy has been linked to the new king’s “need” for vacations since, according to BBC sources, Carlos III went “free” last Thursday. take a break from institutional commitmentswhile barely a week has passed since the start of his reign.

The BBC claims that the King spent the day at the Highgrove manor house, in the English countrysidein preparing for his new role and signing documents which we assume he will not have opted for in pen and ink.
