A world first was presented in the Tyrolean capital, which should particularly appeal to climate protectors: a car that runs purely on solar energy. This is made possible by a trailer with solar panels, in which there is also room to sleep.
The world premiere was presented by Swiss climate pioneer Louis Palmer. The “SolarButterfly” is a self-sufficient solar-powered “Tiny House” that tours 90 countries. The trailer is made from recycled PET bottles. The wings have a span of 14 meters and are fitted with solar panels.
Already 18,000 kilometers traveled
It thus produces enough energy to power the towing vehicle. Everything completely free of CO2. So far, Palmer has visited 18 countries and covered an impressive 18,000 kilometers using the power of the sun.
