The general secretary of UGT EuskadicRaúl Arza, has stated that in the Basque public administration a “significant” part of the working population has the required language profile, so according to him “It’s very weird that there is no one to be present in Basque”. “The data should not be dramatized,” he added. As he has revealed, there were two complaints in Lanbide last year about people not being able to be present in one of the official languages of their choice, as determined by law.
In these conditions, Arza referred in an interview with the Radio Euskadi program “Boulevard” to the decision of a court in Vitoria-Gasteiz that allows the admission in the call of the local police job boards of Euskadi to all those applicants who do not Have B2 level Basque.
