The government and the PP will meet this Thursday to negotiate the energy saving plan

Date:

The PP’s “rescue plan” proposes measures for the creation of an energy AIREF, revising the formula for determining the energy price and simplifying the taxation of the electricity bill.

The third vice president of the government and minister for the ecological transition, Teresa Ribera, and the person in charge of economics of the PP, Juan Bravo, they will meet this Thursday 22 September to negotiate energy measures; 10 days after the first opposition party submitted its energy plan to the college.

After assuring that the decisions made today will mark the lives of the Spaniards, Feijóo is confident that: “It pays for the government to agree to the alternative state policy” to deliver reforms that provide citizens with “affordable, sustainable and competitive energy” now and in the future.

The meeting between the two teams will take place after the plenary session of Congress is allowed for processing – with the vote against the PP – the proposed law of the PSOE and United We Can to set a temporary tax for large energy companies and banks.

PP sources point out that this meeting takes place in the context of the government’s forced change to the project “spurred on by the differences between its plan and that of the European Commission”. The population insists that the rate proposed by Brussels is “diametrically opposed” to Pedro Sánchez’s, as the government taxes a company’s billing, not benefits.
