Viennese expert warns: – Russians want to conquer nuclear power plants to cause power outages

Date:

To cut off Ukraine’s energy supply, Moscow now apparently wants to take over all nuclear power plants! Already at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, the Russians gradually took control of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya (pictured above).

Since then, a bitter battle has raged for the plant, which is now expanding to other reactors in the country. These include the second largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine, the Piwdennoukrainsk plant (South Ukraine power station, note) south of the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk in Mykolaiv Oblast (Administrative District, note).

It is 200 kilometers from the 500,000 inhabitants city of Mykolaiv, which has been without drinking water for six months since the Russians damaged the supply. The enemy’s missile strikes are reported every day – now also very close to the power plant in southern Ukraine, the second largest of the five nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

‘Blackout would cause refugee wave’
Viennese Ukraine expert and former Siemens country manager, Dr. Cornelius Granig sees this as a clear strategy of Putin’s army: “Since more than half of Ukraine’s electricity is produced by the four major nuclear power plants, the Russians are trying to control these reactors and then turn off all the lights. ” in Ukraine.” Granig’s warning: “In a cold winter, this power outage would cause another large influx of refugees.”

The governor of Mykolaiv province, Vitaliy Kim, warns that large parts of the state will have to be evacuated in the event of an accident at the nuclear power plant. Granig fears that “the Russians will stop at nothing to win the war. This also includes the threat of causing nuclear accidents.” EWr hopes “the less radical forces in Moscow will succeed in discouraging dictator Vladimir Putin from an act of madness that would result in nuclear contamination across half of Europe.”
