The burglars who broke into a jewelry store in Villach on Saturday night and caused 100,000 euros in damage are still on the run.
“Unfortunately, there is still no trace of them,” said Dietmar Koller, head of Villach’s criminal department. Much of the loot has already been secured. “They lost it when they tried to escape. It is still unclear how much the seized jewelry is worth.” According to the owner, the total damage amounts to 100,000 euros.
International Manhunt
The two are now even sought after internationally. “We are in contact with colleagues from different countries, they can be anywhere,” adds Koller. Other witnesses have already come forward.
More witnesses came forward
“Several witnesses have come forward. A man apparently watched the break-in from a hotel window, unfortunately he didn’t make a video – but for us every clue, no matter how small, counts,” Koller continues.
